| Welcome to Black Bunny Bakery! We are a home-based bakery located in Southern Maine, seven minutes North of Portsmouth, NH. We do special orders for our customers by appointment only throughout Southern Maine and Seacoast New Hampshire. The owner and head baker of Black Bunny Bakery is Kara Sawyer. Kara began her career with a degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida. |

Along with working in numerous restaurants,
she has worked in quality
control at Anheuser-Busch and more recently as a baker and pastry chef. Kara has a passion for
baking fresh and wholesome products using the best ingredients, an
essential she learned from her years of living with her husband in
Italy. Kara has taken (and continues to take) numerous cake decorating
courses to perfect and update her skills.
Our motto is "Baked goods that are good for the soul". We make artistic
and unique cakes and pastries that are lovely to look at but most
importantly a pleasure to eat. We look forward to speaking with you about your wedding, birthday, or special event needs. We are able to accommodate certain special dietary needs such as dairy and wheat allergies or vegan diets. |
